The course is 2.5 miles (4.1 km), from Oualie Beach on Nevis to Cockleshell Beach on St. Kitts. Water temperature averages 80°f (27°c) and the average depth is 30-40 feet (roughly 9-12 meters). The Event is followed by a Celebratory Breakfast and Award Ceremony. Prizes are awarded in various categories with a Special Cash Prize awarded for Best Time Ever. (Currently held by triathlete, Olivier Marceau, in 2012 with a time of 58:09.)

Swim Nevis encourages Open Water competitive swim enthusiasts by offering Swim Clinics instructed by ISHOF Honoree, Karlyn Pipes; Olympic medallist, Keri-Anne Payne; and International medallist and Olympian, David Carry.

Swimmers with special needs are welcome. Swim Nevis is partnering with St. Kitts and Nevis Special Olympics. It is truly an inclusive swim event for everyone.

Swim Nevis also helps to support habitat for Sea Turtles, which can be seen at a popular dive site, Booby High Shoals.

Nevis has been an historical crossroad for centuries and is known for its old sugar plantations and British colonial relics. With so much history and undersea life, you might want to extend your stay in one of the Island's hotels or plantation homes. Nevis has been called by Forbes, "The coolest Caribbean Island you've never heard of."

Join us. Bring your friends and family too. Register today for the Event.
